Tantrum is hiring a licensed hair stylist who is great with kids and wants to build a book without starting from zero. You’ll cut and style hair for children of all ages, from first haircuts to squirmy toddlers to school-age kids who know exactly what they want. Clipper work is a big part of the day. The job is less about trend cuts and more about getting a clean, consistent result while keeping a nervous kid (and their parent) calm and happy. What you’ll do • Clipper and scissor cuts, fades, trims, and simple styling for kids • Make every child feel comfortable in the chair, including kids with special needs • Keep your station and the salon clean, safe, and welcoming • Work as part of a small, family-run team • Deliver the kind of service that turns a first visit into a regular What we’re looking for • Valid Connecticut cosmetology or barbering license (required) • Confident clipper skills • Experience with children is a plus, patience with them is a must • Reliable, on time, positive, and a team player • No existing clientele needed.
